i recently used the acne.org aha on my back and MY GOD, all of my pimples (most which weren't too red) are red and painful. I regret using it so much...

Yes AHA murders my skin as well. Not sure if my skin will build tolerance to it but if it doesn't in a couple of weeks then I reckon I'll dilute it in moisturiser and a little jojoba oil to lessen the discomfort.

Thanks for the tip, I was interested in trying aha but I think I'll just get into a regular washing routine and hopefully be able to avoid using. Thanks again!

Don't write off AHA because someone else can't use it. I used Dan's in the past and it was pretty good. I use a stronger AHA (glycolic) now and my skin has never been smoother, softer, and clearer. It is not meant to be used on skin with active acne. It's more for helping scars and tone once acne has subsided.

its funny you say this, that it is not meant to be used on skin with active acne, while dan says the EXACT opposite.

I should clarify what I said. Glycolic definitely has it's place in acne care. I use it daily and think it's great at keeping the skin clear. However, for active acne, it could irritate it. Dan's AHA is not as strong as what I use now, so I think many people can use it without much problem. I would test a spot on active acne first though to make sure it's not going to overly irritate.
