Brown marks after glycolic acid peel.

Recommended Posts

Okay, the story goes like this. I used a 30% glycolic acid peel about 2 months ago, and it pretty much made my face worse before I used it. It made me form scabs and such that turned into brown patches. It also looked it burned my skin. Now, I been to a dermatologist and they prescribed me some kojic acid serum thingy to heal the PIH. I been on it for about a month and a half. Even though it's gotten better I'm just curious to how long will it take to heal? Because it's starting to really get on my nerves. Oh yeah and do not ever use glycolic acid peels on your skin.....ever! especially if you have asian skin. haha...

You need to do the acid peel and take precautions with the SUN. That is the reason that, if you have laser or a peel done, you have to use SPF. Those may be melanin patches, and kojic acid helps with hyperpigmentation issues.
