Fraxel Surgery

Recommended Posts

I inquired a dermatologist about laser for my acne scars and they suggested Fraxel.. I've read a lot of BAD things about it and Good.. I've tried to research my doctor and his practice but found nothing.. Sandhu M. D. In Lancaster CA.. I live in Los Angeles and this is where my doctor referred me to.. maybe I should get referred to somewhere else?? I'm not sure what to do... Go ahead and do the fraxel for my acne scars or they offered doing medlite has anyone done that procedure for acne scars?? They charge $850.. and medlite is $150.... Anyone ever been to gursan medspa in Lancaster CA?? or Know any great dermatologist in Los Angeles I can go see??? Please.. I'd be devastated if I ruined my face or made it even worse.. I'm a "cute" guy, and meet women, I'm just want to get my confidence back and stop worrying about my face ya know? I'm 27 and have been dealing with acne in my teens.. I want to put it behind me and move on... Anything helps, thank you for taking the time to read and inform me..

I would do some research on other doctors in your area, maybe ask at your place of work and/or friends who they have used. Believe me, I know what you mean... I'm 24, semi-attractive but just want my self-confidence back. The idea of handing over the rest of your life over to someone is incredibly scary, but I think that once you've done some research and feel comfortable you'll be happy you did it. I, myself, am getting the fraxel done by a surgeon who came recommended by two friends (neither of whom know each other) and who has nothing but great reviews online. He's been in practice 15 years and has used the fraxel laser since it hit the market. I went to 4 surgeons before I decided on him. I definitely recommend someone who works specifically with the face (if that's where your scarring is), as they have more experience with that area of expertise... Good Luck. I hope all goes well for you :)

Masoo!

i believe that doctors medication only affect you when you believe your doctor. NO one is stopping you to do a proper search about his/her way of treatment and yes it is better ti talk any patients who has already gone through this process but once you have decided, have a firm belief that this is your treatment which you require.

And Go for it :)

Good luck

Don't do it!!! My mom had fraxel about 5 yrs ago, the initial results were great. 5 yrs later all the collagen and fat is gone from her skin. It killed the fat cells or something in her skin. She's 50 and looks about 70. Fraxel hasn't been on the market long enough for there to be studies of long term effects. Now she will have to have fat replaced in her face if she wants to look normal again. There are other reports of this happening. Scars are bad but saggy skin before your time is way worse.
