Hey Jennifer

First off, Vilantae is B5 megadosing. I did it last summer and after a few weeks my skin had become less oily and I had less milia (uninflamed, blocked pores) - but it didn't do anything for my inflamed pimples and cysts, those were only held down by antibiotics. It seems quite a few people have good results from B5 - you can check under reviews - yet it seems the effect is temporary (for me it was at least). I haven't found any studies of the effects of megadosing B5 for longer periods of time and possible side effects, but people here on the forum have written about neurological symptoms like paresthesias (tingling, in feet and hands) which I definitely don't like.

As for your doctors and Accutane, their arguments are quite poor. The fact that you're within "child-bearing years" is definitely not an argument - that is, after all, why all women on Accutane have to be on BCP. The fact that you get vasovagal syncopes is hardly your doctors problem either - he merely has to make sure you lay down when getting blood drawn and that you're fit when you leave the place. Honestly; I'd find another derm.
