Caution to medium/olive/freckled skin accutane users

Recommended Posts

Hi all first off Id like to say that Accutane was not as horrific an experience as I expected but required alot of commitment. While the upside of Accutane was awsome skin clarity (after 2 months) smaller pores, lively color, acne free and for some reason I grew strong nails for the first time ever..... The down side is (totally awful dry brittle thinner hair and many skin rashes/eczema).

All of that went away very quickly after stopping the accutane.

ATTENTION: I am 1/4 mexican and 3/4 caucasion with a tendancy to tan well but freckle. I noticed that I didnt "BURN" on accutane like I expected so I let my sunblock wear of my face and did not go running to put more on... the results were brown patches (which I thought was blotchy tan) after too much sun on my face. I have been officially diagnosed with melasma which means It is likely that it will never go away even with lasers/ bleaching. Everyone askes me why I have dirt on my face. Im so sad about the melasma but Im also sad I could not finish the treatment...AFTER ALL THAT! Well be careful TANNERS...Its not worth the damage.... TAN LATER! Get some bronzer for now! You don't want this.
