I am a 22 year old living on the west coast and lead a very active lifestyle, which probably doesn't make my skin very happy. When I am not in the classroom, I am out in the sun, out in the water, in the gym, or trying to enjoy as much of life as possible.

I recently went back onto Duac Topcical Gel after straying away from it for a couple of months. I had been using it for a couple years prior to stopping and it really did work well.

I have been on it for about 4 days and have the usual burning and redness in my skin along with some dryness and was wondering what people have found to cure it the best? I have read in some spots that you are not supposed to use a moisturizer because it could make the burning worse, but then how am I supposed to combat the dryness? Does simply applying the Duac alone help your skin get used to it faster?

As far as a cleanser, I use Eucerin Redness Relief in the shower and nothing else, because I have heard that soaps can really strain the skin. After applying the Duac, I use Cetaphil to moisturize, as it seems to be one of the most loved moisturizers out there. I do experience burning while applying it on top of the Duac, and am wondering if this will go away? or if I should simply stop and use only the Duac so my skin gets used to it faster.

I have seen how helpful members of this community are and am looking for any tips that people are willing to offer. Any tips from members that are or have been on Duac would be much appreciated, as well as acne tips in general. Thanks in advance, and I will continue to post and reply as much as possible.
