Ok, so I have a question. Seems that the AHA+ is recommended in place of a moisturizer occasionally while using the regimen. Here's the thing I don't understand.

AHA+ is an acid (when dissolved in water is H+ rich)

and BP is a base (OH- rich)

so combining these 2 (acid +base) the one with the lower concentration should cancel out (H+ + OH- = H2O) and you will be left with the higher concentration. Right?

I might be misunderstanding this, but it seems silly to combine the 2. What do you guys think?

A peroxide is a compound that has an oxygen-oxygen bond. That is, it has two oxygen atoms bound together. The molecule is symmetrical, with two identical parts joined at their oxygen atoms with an oxygen-oxygen bond

The chemical composition of benzoyl peroxide is (C6H5CO)2O2

BP is composed of two benzoyl rings linked together by a peroxide chain...so i'm not entirely sure if your statement that it is a base is completely correct...
