Do you have PCOS?

Do you have a regular cycle, or do you skip or not have one at all? Do you have trouble losing weight no matter what you do? Are you losing hair or have hair on your face or other parts of your body you normally wouldn't? And, of course, there's acne. Those are some of the symptoms of PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). If you haven't gotten checked for this already, it might help. When I was taking a birth control pill, I rarely had breakouts, and even if I did, it wasn't too severe. For me, just taking the Pill kept my hormones at the right balance, even with PCOS.

That all changed once I stopped taking the Pill so I can start a family. My gynecologist says that getting pregnant often helps getting my hormones balanced again without having to take medication (I'm on Metformin, which doesn't help completely).
