Will silver chloride help with acne?

Recommended Posts

I saw a product in a store: anti-microbial silver gel. Basically, it has silver chloride, which helps kill bacteria, etc. I read online that it's effective because bacteria cannot get resistance from it. The silver "suffocates" the bacteria.

Has anyone ever used it? If so, what results do you get?

Also, I read online that it might turn your skin permanently blue. However, is this only with oral treatment or topical too? The product I saw is a gel so it's topical.

i don't think it would be much different then B.P. because what it does is use oxygen to 'suffocate' the bacteria as well. you should try both to see which one is better, or maybe even alternate between the two every day/week so the bacteria doesn't have the time to get a way around it... however, if it does turn your skin blue i'd just avoid it..
