Please help me incorporate retin-a into my BP regimen

Recommended Posts

Talked to my derm. yesterday re: the clogged pores and fine lines that have been my nemesis lately. She suggested I add a low strength retina-a to what I'm already doing (0.025%).

Now -- I love my BP and don't want to give it up, but I understand that it can't be used at the same time as the retin-a. Does it matter if I wait 30 minutes in between, or will it still be no good?

So, my thought is: use the BP every morning and every other night, then use the retin-a on alternate nights. Does that sound like a good plan? BP tends to keep my skin pretty clear so I guess I'm just nervous about missing a "dose" of it. :eh:

Also, prior to seeing her yesterday, I'd ordered an AHA product online and I'm waiting for it to be delivered. So I think I may still try that first and see what effect it has.........b/c you can apply that after the BP right?

Advice? BTDT?

thanks so much!

Retin-A and BP was what got me the clearest I ever had gotten. What I did was use BP in the morning and Retin-A at night. Ive heard that Retin-A and BP counteract each other so I think 30 mins apart would be no good. If you just starting the retin-a i recommend you start super slow and get used to it.
