picked cyst- can a derm do anything about it?

i picked at my cyst with a needle and now its all bleeding and such, i might go in to see the derm today, is there anything he can do? like a cortisone shot? or will he just tell me to leave it alone?

A derm could give you a cortisone shot. You could also try icing, ibuprofen, and antibiotic ointment/cream (see link at end of my signature). I'd try those techniques first rather than spending money on a derm visit. It won't give immediate results/instant gratification, but it will help considerably over the course of a day or two if you use the ice consistently.

You can use salt to help speed the healing process. I get the area a little wet then I dab salt on the cyst and let it dry. Then flake it off. It seems to cut the healing time down a little. After use some neosporin cream.
