Ceasing treatment

Recommended Posts

For a few years now, I've been using 2.5% benzoyl peroxide topically. Every single night before bed. And honestly, I was 90% clear. One or two occasionally, around the mouth which has always been my troublesome area.

Well after a night of being frustrated, and reading a bunch of topics here claiming how stopping all treatment would help my skin, I decided to go with it. When I read it in the past, I remember thinking how stupid it was, I am only 90% clear because I AM taking the bp.

However, after a little over a week of using no treatment at all, I find myself to be around 98-99% clear. While it may just be a coincidence, I am amazed of how great my skin looks.

Personally, I've always feared that my body got used to the BP and would worsen if I ever stopped, but perhaps it was the only thing that prevented myself from getting rid of acne, as I am now 20 and was shocked that it lasted from my early teens.

As for other claims I've seen in the same posts:

I never drink water, unless it's by some accident (i hate the lack of taste).

I eat terribly, a lot of snacks and greasy food.

I have terrible insomnia and sleep 3-5 hours a night.

I'm about 15 pounds underweight.

I'm sexually active.

I wash my face twice a day.

I don't moisturize.

all of this doesn't affect my skin and is most likely bullshit.
