Stinging means peel is working?

Recommended Posts

I bought the juice beauty 13% AHA peel and when I used it for the first time, my face turned very red and it stung alot. But the redness subsided the next day. The second time I used it, it didnt sting at all and my face didnt turn red. Im not sure if it's because I put a thinner layer than the first time, or my skin has gotten used to it? ANyway does stinging means that the peel is working to exfoliate the top layers of the skin?

Yes, stinging does mean it is working. If it doesn't sting, it isn't strong enough. Remember, it is a PEEL. Doesn't that sound like it would sting

Are you using Juice Beauty Organic Green Apple Peel full strength? I had been using that peel and when I first did it, I felt a lot of stinging and got a lot of redness. That subsided though, the more I used it. I thought that maybe my skin got use to it..? On makeupalley boards, it seems that some people use it more than once a week. I think the label says to use once a week, but I had used it about every 4-5 days and my skin was fine. As for results for this peel, it didn't do anything for my redmarks- it only made my skin smooth. That's why I'm using a 30% glycolic acid peel now.
