zeek 0 Share Posted December 5, 2003 my derm just prescribed me to take 2 100mg pills of minocycline...one in the mornin and one in the evening as well as applying 10% klaron lotion (which is sodium sulfacetamide, i think similar to tazorac). I am confident that the mino will help clear me up in a few months or so because my acne is only moderate, except over the last 1 1/2 months i have had pretty good success at limiting breakouts with dan's regimen. Nowhere near total clearing but only one or two new pimples a day. Should i continue the regimen or give the klaron lotion a shot...its either one or the other 2 times a day and id much rather use the klaron because its quicker to apply and doesnt have any of the negative affects of BP. Also, can i spot treat with the BP or hydrocortisone cream or is it not a good idea? My skin is not very sensitive so it can handle the dryness pretty well.
alina 0 Share Posted December 6, 2003 About a year ago I was prescribed Klaron and Benzaclin. I used KLARON 2X's a day, and atr night when i put klaron on i would spot treat with benzaclin(BP + clyndamyacin is what this product is made out of). It really helped my skin a lot.
