the cold winter weather just shrinks my pores which isn't a good thing when they have been built up with dead skin cells and sebum throughout the day

Dont you all just wish winter was over now? I dont like winter at all. I always break out more and its so damn cold. I would rather be hot than cold.

That's pretty easy to answer.

In the winter, people eat more (because its colder, its natural) and we move less (we stay inside). This promotes improper digestion, a sluggish system, etc. This is also why we get sick in the winter and much much less in the summer.

More food + less burning of calories = more stuff to expel out of our bodies.

Also, in winter people get depressed a bit more, and mood has a lot to do with acne.

Finally, people get less sun in the winter, getting a bit of sun is vital to a healthy body and helps a lot with acne. (I'm not talking about going to tan, but just a normal 15 minutes of sun per day)

Lastly, as someone else pointed out, the fact that you have dry skin in the winter doesn't help either.

My face is more or less totally clear in summer. Could be sun or due to fact face gets very dry in winter with central heating always on and lack of moisture in air.

I never barely ever get anything during the summer because I'm always in the pool. The chlorine in the water seems to keep my skin clear.

I find the sun very helpful for my acne.

Also, when we go on holidays, sun+sea = clear skin (for me).

i'd say it varies. Sometimes in the summer i can be really really clear (thanks to the sun) and then sometimes in winter i can get really bad breakouts!

But i'd probably say winter is slightly worse for my skin coz it really dries out and looks a whole lot worse
