+'s and -'s in comparing Purpose and Cetaphil cleansers

Recommended Posts

I never liked Cetaphil, it felt too 'greasy' and as though my face wasn't clean unless i scrubbed with a washcloth (which i hate to do). Purpose was better, but dried my face out. You can get a small size of the Cetaphil and try it out, if you don't like it, it's a good gentle hand cleanser for the winter.

I didn't like either... Cetaphil was too watery and didn't clean well enough (esp makeup). Purpose (liquid and bar) was too drying. If you want something that isn't drying, I would recommend Aveeno cleansing lotion. It's much better than Cetaphil. It's thicker and cleans better.

my .02...

I haven't tried any of the Purpose cleansers. But I like Cetaphil's bar better than the liquid. But since I bought that big 'ole container I had to think of some way to use it, so now I use it mixed with sugar when I want to use a facial scrub (which works really well to help make my skin soft).
