Want to take vitamins to help w/ red marks

Vitamins. I take 2,000 IU of vitamin E a day. and I take about 3,000 mgs of vitamin C a day. And 50 mgs of zinc.

what do you guys think of those numbers? is that safe?

Doesnt strike me as unsafe.

I would check whether vit e is a water soluable vitamin, the same for zinc. When vitamins are water soluable you can take very very large dosages of them and suffer generally nothing more than bowel intolerence as a result.

Vitamin C is safe in dosages larger than stated. the 'rda's' were set in the 20's, and the amount of vit c that is recommended by this is minimum amount needed not to get scurvy. what constitutes an 'optimal' level is then questionanle.

However 3/4g's is fine.

If you mean to do this long term then I would look into getting vit c powder, you may a premium for tableting it. The same goes for vit e, get in oil form and just add them both to glasses of water.
