BP Gel shipment and summer heat

USPS usually delivers mail in my area around noon but I can't pick it up until the evening. You are supposed to store BP Gel at room temperature. Would there be a problem if it is left in the mailbox at full sun for half a day? Thanks!

If not in direct sun I dont think there will be any problem.

But my mailbox is made of metal and it can get quite hot (enough to melt chocolate) on a hot day.

Ok.

I think Dan earlier on the board wrote that the Gel should be ok under high summer heat as long the "peak" is temporary...

Our manufacturer said a short time in a hot environment should be ok, but weeks on end would not be good. When we do stability testing on the product, we put it in an incubator that is both hot and humid for 3 months to make sure it maintains its stability. It passed with flying colors over that 3 month period, so a few hours should be ok. Massive heat I don't know about, however. If it's actually hot to the touch, let me know and I'll ask again if that's ok.
