Retisol-a (Retin-A) expiration date help!

Looks like Jan 1st, 2004 to me. Or possibly Jan 4th, 2001. I think the first is more likely. Either way, that's expired. It might still work fine though, i'm not sure how well retinA ages.

k, so my doc gave me samples of retisol-a, but the expiration date says "O4JAO1"

What the hell does that mean ? :S

Does it say "EXP" before the number? Could be a lot number and not a date. The expiration date is always preceded by "EXP" and usually is in the format of either MON-YYYY or DD-MON-YY... I've never seen a two-letter month... that's very unusual (and goes against all conventions.) On the Retin-A tube it should be on the crimping.

Why would she give me an expired tube ? That @#$%
