bored... and no life

How are you guys coping with your daily lives and eating clean to prevent any new breakouts?

To stay break-out free, i can't seem to go out with my friends/family to have a good time and enjoy food anymore. Even with a little bad food, i seem to break out with white and black-heads and little oily pimples all over my face for the next few days.

Derms. are no help. My acne is not severe enough for them to put me on accutane. Prescibing me with gay ass creams don't really seem to work if my diet is not in line 100% everyday.

The only cause for my acne is a bad diet. When is my diet-acne correlation gonna ever go away? :doubt:

Is there specific acne supplements or creams out there that directly helps with diet related acne? Life is so boring and lonely eating at home all the time.

I know what you mean but theres a really easy solution. I eat out at a lot of ethnic places such as Thai food, Japanese food etc. All places have healthier meal options. Instead of fries get rice, or substute the fries or potatoes with a big salad and eat that with whatever else youre having. Its surprising how good all that stuff tastes just keep an open mind and look over ALL parts of the menu.

lol and if you figure out when this diet/acne correlation will go away let me know! Im anxious to know.

that was helpful...

I am in the same boat as you... but probably on a more strict diet, but I think I make it work better. I only eat fruit, salad, sashimi, raw egg yolks, and raw beef. I bring dried fruit and brazilian nuts with me wherever I go, I also bring a cooler with fruit and salad, or fruit and an avocado. Then I'll eat up to 3 egg yolks at a time at night and in the morning. read the diet www.freeacnebook.com . be sure to read the precautions and procedures before eating raw egg yolks, i know it sounds gross but you squeeze the contents of the yolk into orange juice and it tastes good.

as far as the end in sight when your acne will not be around, here is what I think. I think that almost everyones acne is caused by a combination of excess sebum production and pinched off sebum canals caused by water retention, caused by cooked food, especially "dirty protein". Wai agrees with me.

So I think that more people get acne in their teens, and from my experience it seems alot of people in their early to mid twenties have acne as well. I think this is because at this time they/we are experiencing hormonal changes causing excess sebum production.. As you get older the sebum will reduce and acne will diminish. Otherwise your acne may be caused by hormones, unaffected by age. At this time I would recommend accupuncture/herbs for balancing hormones, then maybe hormone therapy, from a licensed practitioner (f'in snakes)

ACCUTANE

READ FIRST. he said he cant go on accutane

Dont worry too much about not going on accutane. Heres my deal.. I have had acne for a very long time, and finally inquired about accutane. When I went to get it I was excited, even though I was well aware of the risks... however, I worked myself up over nothing since I couldnt get it because my aunt had a history of mental illness. I was pissed and very discouraged at that point.. BUT... I have changed my lifestyle and now my acne is going away.

How does this relate to your situation? Well, first of all dont get down on yourself because you cant get accutane. There are safer alternatives and in time you will, hopefully, see the same results. If your not already, look into B5.. I am doin this now and its working great. As far as going out and splurging.. WILL POWER.. yea its tough it really is, but practice makes perfect, and soon enough if your determined youll be able to say no when someone shoves an ice cream cone in your face :)

Anyway, keep ur head up and keep at it. Im telling you it works and if you maintain this lifestyle long enough you will start to see amazing results.

All I know is I read about people completely clearing up through liver flushing and bowel cleansing and then are able to eat anything within reason and not break out. I'm hoping eventually this liver flushing is gonna pay off... my skin gets better after a flush and then bad digestion and bad skin come back... well, only a few more days till flush number 5 for me but my digestion has gone downhill in the last few days :(

I found this too, except for me I wasn't even lucky enough to see an improvement in my acne. Feeling able to freely socialise with friends and family is an important part of life - more important in my view than having clear skin. My personal view is that if your diet is unsustainable because a slight slip causes a breakout, it is time to look at other options, rather than sacrificing your ability to have a good time. No acne treatment, even a natural one, is healthy if it leaves you feeling "bored and lonely". Don't get me wrong - I am not against natural treatments, provided that they work for you and are reasonably sustainable.

Derms. are no help. My acne is not severe enough for them to put me on accutane. Prescibing me with gay ass creams don't really seem to work if my diet is not in line 100% everyday.

If you are unable to find a natural treatment that works long term, maybe you should try oral medications if topicals have not been effective. I wouldn't recommend long term antibiotics because I think they do more harm than good in the long term but I had alot of success with the BCP Dianette for a number of years.

Best of luck!
