dan recommends using the lather of the soap to shave however... its frustrating because i cant get near a close shave as i would with the gel i use but the gel doesnt really say if it is non comodegnic or not...? i would love to use the gel again, using the soap gives me such a bad shave(lots of stubbles)

hmmmmm ive NEVER had that problem before.

i use a cleansing bar instead of a gel and its exactly the same shave

surely aslong as the bar your using creates a lather its not difference of a shave,

a gel cant "bring the shave" that much closer surely.....:think::think:

when shaving your face, are you supposed to be using warm water the whole time?

Or is it like you use warm water, apply lather, shave with warm and then rinse with cold?

ummm.. yes it can, thats why there is SHAVING GEL and SHAVING CREAM, not SHAVING SOAP! I use a noxema shaving cream for sensitive skin, it doesn't dry you out gives you a nice and smooth shave.

That's what I do, but I don't suppose it matters if you rinse with warm water at the end. The important thing is not to use very hot water at any stage. :)

You get a closer shave if you use warm water then shave cause the warmness of the water opens up the poor and the hair comes out alittle bit more.

Also it might be your razors problem because Lather of a soap should work the same as shaving cream.. technically lol.
