Hi guys, I am on a 10mg accutane course for about 10months? I am a waterpolo player and am constantly in the sun. My whole body is tan while my face is abit red due to the medication and white as I apply sunscreen of 50spf. However, I had very severe acne. I am not sure if it is the result of the severe acne, the facial I did during 5he breakout, or the long wait before I actually started taking the medicine(about 2months)?. However, these scars are really bothering me in school and wherever i go as it makes me very very insecure. Do you think these scars are severe? And do you think they are able to be smoothened by processes such as co2 lasering? Any experience? Thank you so much! <Images below>
Honestly bro the scars don't look bad at all, I'm just glad you were able to clear your acne. Scarring should soften up with time, and you can opt to do some scar treatments to try and soften them faster, but honestly if I were you I'd just accept them man as they aren't bad at all in my opinion. Keep your head up high, be self assured, and you'll see that no one gives a crap about them

Hey tretinoin, thanks so much for your words of encouragement. It just seems sad like to see all the other people around you who have such good complexion, and I feel jealous. But thank you for the reply, really made my day. I will keep my head up high for the time being till I finish my course, and will let you know the results. Take care man:)

Dude I've felt the same way too, and even now those thoughts still cross my mind. Don't give any attention to any negative though, they'll simply bring you nowhere and will slowly eat you up in a process of self deprecation. Keep up your passion and simply give it no attention. Remember, these insecurities are 99% in your head, no one else sees it like you do. Glad I made your day man

Were you an acne sufferer as well? And suffered from scarring?
