Hello all. Im new to this and not really sure how it works but im going to give it a shot because im desperate. I never had severe acne, but then my derm put me on birth control for irregular periods and a bit of hormonal acne here and there. The birth control totally backfired, leaving my skin in ruins and me super depressed. I went on accutane and my acne cleared up for a few months and I felt GREAT. well, over the past few weeks I have been randomly breaking out again (I just had my time of the month) and I have tried to control it... and failed. It's not terrible all over my face, but it's enough to be emotionally upset and cause me anxiety. now to the main point I guess, Im on a vacation right now and I had one pimple on my cheek/mouth region. I left it as long as I could and then I gave in and popped it. White puss came out but the sore bump still remained. I popped it again this morning and realized that a whole ring of raw skin now surrounded the infected pore. It formed a circular "wet" scab which can not be covered by makeup and has left me in my hotel all day again falling into this depression. I put some tee tree oil on and slabbed some aquaphor on top, but it still seems to be this icky wet scab with no progress. PLEASE im begging someone out there, how do I heal this ASAP.
I have been in your situation many times, although not while on vacay and I am sorry this is happening to you at such a rotten time So I think you should go to the nearest pharmacy and purchase a box of hydrocolloid bandaids (often labeled "blister bandaids" or "advanced healing bandaids" from the Band-Aid namebrand) and put it on tonight or even immediately if you don't mind having a bandage on your face in public. The band aids are actually quite unnoticeable and almost blend in with your skin. So what these do is create a moist environment which is conducive to healing, and it seems to me that they draw the remaining pus/liquid out of the pimple which is a good thing. I have other ideas for you but I wanted to post this right away in case you are still in need of immediate advice as this is a crisis situation! I will give you more options later if you would like?
Hey! so it's almost all healed up but it did take me about a week for me to even put makeup on it that would stick. I keep getting these clusters of small pimples around my mouth area almost in the crack of my cheek between my cheek and my mouth... do you have any idea what these could be from/the best way to treat them? im trying so hard not so squeeze and pick them because. don't want a repeat of that huge scab but it's so hard!
Hi! I did that too the day before I left for a two week long beach trip and got a open wound on my chin. I suggest putting liquid bandaid on it!! Mine was also "wet" and I couldn't cover it and my mom told me about liquid bandage. You can get it at like Walmart or Walgreens or typically anywhere. Basically it's a clear bandaid you put over it and you can cover it with makeup and it heals it within a few days depending on the size of the hole. Mine was like 1/4th the size of a dime and it healed in 2 days! Hope it heals soon I know the pain!! Goodluck!

Hi! so that one has pretty much gone away but now of course just my luck I have another one. However it's sort of half pimple still half scab.. can i still use the liquid bandage? and also did you ever have to remove the liquid bandage or does it peel off on it's own/absorb?

liquid bandage will kind of come off on its own.
I was on Yasmin and it was TERRIBLE. NEVER AGAIN. birth control works for a lot of people, but even then when they stop the BC usually acne flares up again. I want to find a better cute than relying on pills. Im tempted to throw liquid bandage on over night because I feel like I've exhausted my options but at the same time don't want it to take a turn for the worse because the scans are pretty large it might be better to keep them moisturizer with polyglot in and aquaphor. UGH JUST WANT THS STUFF TO GO AWAY
