I've seen such posts here so i thought i could do one, perhaps it'll be helpful. i think I was not determined to stop my skin picking. I actually pick when there's no mirror but wjen I'm doing something else, my finger will then find the bump/scab and start picking.

so here goes, the start of my no skin picking challenge. let me know if y'all have any tips!

day 1: the day was already over so i have to say i picked alot, esp on the bumps on my forehead but i guess that's better than yesterday.

Hi, I'm also trying to stop my skin picking! I've had acne for probably almost four years and I think I've always picked at it to some degree but lately it's been getting really bad, and it seems like every time I try to stop, the urge to pick comes back even harder! Anyway, this comment is more for me than anyone else. I don't have anyone I can talk about this with in real life but maybe I'll be able to hold myself accountable if I post something online instead of bottling it all up in my head.

Best of luck to you and wearing thin gloves really helps to keep you from 'scanning' for places to pick.

Hi guys, I'm also attempting to beat the skin picking.
I got acne pretty bad over the 9 months I spent off the birth control pill. I've recently started the pill again, and I'm just waiting and waiting for things to start clearing up again. But of course my picking and popping pimples exacerbates the problem and doesn't help the situation at all.
I haven't picked today, and there's fabric covering the mirrors in my house... But I have some zits that I normally would attempt to pop right now and they're driving me insane. They're pretty small though so I hope that they will go away if I leave them alone. It's a constant battle though!

Hopefully I'll feel a little better about how everything looks when I go to do my makeup.
Good luck to you guys with the no-picking challenge.

I've been fighting skin picking too. My skin has been better this week. Whenever I get home, remove my makeup and feel small bumps coming up or if there are small pimples, I cover them up w/ 3M acne stickers. I figured that if I don't see them/can't touch them, then I can't pick. It's been working for me |::rolleyes:

Acne stickers?  I've never heard of this, but it might be very helpful with me too.  I tend to have the giant mountainous zits that I can't help but pick, it's my secret addiction to pick and pop, but maybe this will help!  Thanks!
