So I'm a little confused. I've made a couple posts/comments about how I'd been taking Spiro or..what I thought was Spiro? for over a year at 25mg twice a day with NO improvement. Keep in mind I did thnk about how the dose might have been too low. On a wim I researched " Teva-Spironolactone" because thats what it was called as I live in Canada..I think generics aren't different in the states.

 

Turns out it's half spironolactone and half hydrochlorothiazide.

 

Whereas "Aldactone" which is the brand name of spiro..is pure spironolactone.

 

I tried researching Teva Spironolactone for acne and found nothing..

 

Could this be it wasn't helping with my insanely oily skin?

 

Does it still have anti-androgenic effects?

 

Anybody from Canada and take this? or have?

 

Anyone please help..

hmmmmm do you have any typical spiro symptoms- peeing a lot/ fatigue ???
