I have blackheads and a very oily forehead, nose, cheeks and to a lesser extent chin.
Could anyone suggest what ingredients I should look for in a facial cleanser (face wash), to get rid of blackheads? (And which to avoid)
My trouble is that I use some face wash, and it will make my face go very red, and very dry. I have recently cut the length of my showers, and turned the heat down to a lukewarm temperature which has potentially helped (either that or the fact I stopped using a face wash altogether at the same time).
Below are some home remedies to prevent oilly skin:-
*Wash your skin with warm or tepid not hot, not cold water and use pure, gentle soap containing no additives and no alcohol.
*Wash two or three times a day. Washing too often can lead to an overreaction of the sebaceous glands, resulting in the production of more oil.
*Use oil-free noncomedogenic moisturizers and sunscreen to keep your skin supple and reduce the excess shininess.
*Always Use a deep-cleaning exfoliate if you have scaly oily skin.
*Try to reduce intake of sugars, salt, chocolate, and fried foods. And avoid cooking with any oils.
*Eat low fat foods, protein-rich foods, whole grains, fresh fruits and green vegetables.
*Use only facial care products and cosmetics that are designed specifically for oily skin.
*Practice common sense good skin care basics for overall skin health and take care of your mind, body and spirit.
How to get rid from Blackheads:-
*Combine four drops of lemon juice with one tablespoon of sugar and rub on the affected area. This will aid in blackhead removal and also improve the overall look of your skin.
*Combine lemon with yogurt, honey and salt and apply to the affected area. This will act as an excellent prevention against blackheads as well as an effective moisturizer.
*Combine honey with cinnamon powder to form a paste. Apply the mask and leave on for a few hours (preferably overnight). Remove the mask and you'll see clearer, healthier skin.
