Hi,

I just wanted to ease my mind regarding the effects of stopping birth control pills especially on the skin which is usually acne breakouts. I have been on Alesse 28 for 4 months only. I am just wondering if anyone who took pills for a few months still got bad acne breakouts? Im quitting BC pills this week but Im also scared about its side effects.

I think everyone is different but Ive been taking birth control since 17 years of age and I am now into my 30s. The second week without bc, my face broke out. BAD. These pimples pop up to no avail. They hurt and no matter what skincare regimen I take on, they are there. It is damaging my self esteem, what little I had anyway. Not to scare you, but man, this is bad. I never had acne before. Good luck!
