Hi everyone!

I am a long time victim of hormonal acne and've been put under different treatments including topical and oral antibiotics, oral isotretinoic acid and oral contraceptive pills. (I started oral isotretinoic acid but can't bear how it made my cystic acnes worse than ever so I stopped after a week of trying). Oral contraceptive pills worked wonders for me and I took it for around one and a half year but two days right after I stopped the pills my hormonal acnes came back right away as if I were put back to pre-pills state(same with my menstruation. They were usually delayed a week or two before pills, perfectly every 28 days when on pills, and then back to 1-2 weeks delay after i stopped the pills). I likewise noted hairloss (on pills and after stopping pills) and I am still having hairloss at current so if anyone could help me with this I'll be very grateful and thank you for life. (I cry). I stopped the pills as I didn't want to be on contraception forever and also because of the side effects(easy bruisability and hairlossT_T).

I then came to know about dim plus from BabySharks on this site and I tried taking the same brand of dim plus as she did and it worked on my hormonal acnes so I'm quite happy with it although I still am experiencing hairloss(worried:(). I have been taking dim plus for two months now and I am just wondering til when do I have to take this before I can stop taking and not have my hormonal cystic acnes come back.

Anyone with experience taking dim plus for hormonal acnes? For how long did you guys take it and did the hormonal acnes come back after you stopped taking?

Anyone with experience bringing back hair volume after being hit by hormonal imbalance will be greatly appreciated as well.

I'm hoping for some help from this org. (Tears).

-Catherine

well, about acne, I took isotretinoin and it pretty much cleared me up, but about the hairfall, last year I got chicken pox and I had HORRIBLE hairfall, it was to the point where I could literally see my scalp above my forehead. so what my mom did was, she crushed some indian gooseberry, extracted the juice and also some pulp and mixed it with coconut oil and applied it on my head. my hair grew back in no time, so I guess you can try this. hope it helps,

Anyone from this group who can share some experience on Dim-plus for hormonal acne?... I am worried if I should be taking this forever to avoid rebound effects like OCP's..

I just started taking DIM-Plus by Nature's way 3 or 4 weeks ago. After Almost a year and a half of constant breakouts on my back, shoulders, upper-arm. I can't believe it went on for so long before I found this product. It started working right away and I noticed a huge improvement in the first week. In the following weeks I have seen what was already present healing. I have gotten a couple new breakouts in that time, but i was getting them everyday, many most days for over 1 year.
