Unless you have severe, widespread, and scarring acne, The Regimen is normally my suggestion for the most effective acne treatment.

Hello all,

So I get hormonal acne along my jaw line and after about about a year of trying naturopathy with no success I said screw it and went back on birth control. I got on Ortho Tri Cyclen. My skin completely cleared up in only about a month but I felt so drugged and severely depressed from the OTC that I couldn't enjoy it. My doctor switched me to Microgestin. Depression went away, and acne came back. Then I asked to switch to Estrostep, which I have been on for almost 2 months. No horrible depression, but no improvement in my skin either.

My question is, have any of you been on Estrostep and do you think I should switch brands again or wait another month and see if I clear up? I wish I could find something as awesome at clearing my skin as OTC without the severe depressive side effects.

Hello!

I have not tried any of that, however I know how absolutely frustrating it is looking around and waiting for something to kick in or even just see progress.

I also have bad hormonal acne along my jawline and after trying dieting, spiro, retin A and birth control, I wasted half of a year with no improvement and money on things that didn't work.

I havent even started yet, however I'm in progress of jumping through all the hoops and in 30 days I will officially be on accutane. If I could go back in time, I would've just taken this and gotten it over with. The side effects do worry me, but it's the closest gaurentee to clear skin. Cost VS benefit is a personal choice and I hope you the best!!
