Hi,
I have had acne since I was 15 and I used many things to get rid of it such as Accutane, A-Z antibiotics, topical creams and strict diets but it did not happen! I am 6 weeks pregnant now (33 years old) and I feel that my Acne type has been changed or I can say that it has been improved. Does anyone have the same experience?
Yes, mine did too. I was pregnant when I was 31 and my skin became completely clear. The last 2 weeks of my pregnancy I got a bunch of freckles. 3 months after my twins were born my acne became 10x worse than it had ever been. Half of my hair fell out too... I am actually still dealing with my skin a year later. It started producing wayyyy too much oil and I still don't really know what to do about it. Just started taking vitex.
I guess all great things come with a price. Some moms don't have to deal with it at all. Lucky.
Hey lady! I am 33 and 6 weeks pregnant also! (Well, I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow). So cool. With my daughter I broke out horribly but this pregnancy has been a lot better. I don't know why that is but I had cleared up a lot beforehand and I think that helped. I had some mild breakouts the other day but the erythromicin gel seemed to help. Have you had an ultrasound yet? My first one is tomorrow - I'm so nervous.

Hey michi ! congratulation on your second pregnancy and good luck with the ultrasound I just found out that I am pregnant and this is my first so I am super excited and nervous. I used to have big cystic acne but I realized that from two weeks ago I have not had any cyst but I still get small reddish pimples...I thought that it could be pregnancy effect if not too soon! b.t.w, are you sure that Erythromycin is safe to use during pregnancy?
