I just recently got the implant removed and for
Some reason I've come up with a bunch of spots.. Before I got the implant put in my skin was amazingly clear then 3 months after getting it put in my skin went quite spotty I'm so scared that my skin won't return to normal.. I keep telling my self it because I'm still 19 only and my hormones are still needing time to return to normal.. Has any one experienced the same thing? Will my skin be okay?
The implant you had put in was probably a more androgenic one, which causes acne. What was the brand? Green Gables has a list of good and bad birth control pills/implants (which can be found here: ). Most androgenic contraceptives be it the pill or implant cause people to break out (whether you're acne-prone or not). Obviously some people just don't have to deal with that problem at all. Since you've had it removed, hopefully your hormone levels will go back to normal. I think you should be ok since you normally have clear skin and this was just a hormonal thing. If it worsens, maybe see a doc to get your hormones measured, if it gets to that point?
