Oh wow, that looks horribly painful. It looks like it could bacterial or fungal, but hormones can have a huge role in it as well. Have you seen a doctor and had bloodwork done for possible deficiencies?

I'm wondering if it's a minor case of pyoderma faciale. Did it have a sudden onset?

What has your dermatologist said?

@dan it did have a sudden onset, it has happened about 4 times now. i can look into it, the only difference is what i have doesnt leave behind any noticeable scaring.

when i let my aesthetician know what was going on she said maybe bacterial or fungal. I used a 1% Hydrocortisone cream as well as an anti fungal and it cleared in 3 days. this was my cheeks this morning

Fascinating. I wonder which medication cleared it up. It would be good to know what this was.

@dan i just used a 1% hydrocortisone cream, it was over the counter

I thought you said you also used an anti-fungal?

@dan I did it was called Clotrimazole Cream

I wonder which cream cleared it up. If it was fungal maybe it was the Clotrimazole. But maybe the hydrocortisone cleared it up and it was just a reaction to something. Not sure.
