Has Anyone Else Noticed Google’s AI Summaries Showing Acne Advice? Accurate or Not?

Hey everyone,

Lately, Ive noticed that when I Google acne-related questions (like how to reduce hormonal acne or best ingredients for acne scars), Google sometimes gives an AI-generated summary at the top even before showing the usual links.

Some of the tips seem legit salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, non-comedogenic moisturizers, etc. but others feel way too generalized or lack important context (like skin type, age, or sensitivity).

Has anyone else come across this?

  • Do you find these summaries helpful or potentially misleading?

  • Have you seen anything flat-out wrong or harmful in these AI blurbs?

  • Would you trust acne treatment advice from AI summaries, or do you prefer info from derms and experienced communities like this one?

Would love to hear your thoughts. I know not all skin is the same, and some of us have gone through years of trial-and-error to find what works. Just wondering if Googles new instant answers are actually helping or causing more confusion.

I've just read the Google AI summary and it looks pretty good as far as it goes. I would want more detail though if I wanted to treat acne, but hopefully it will send people in the right direction
