I feel like I am at a point in my life where I have tried everything. I am a 22 year old woman. I have had acne since I was 12. I just want it gone. Its not as bad as others but still Im tried of dark marks and waking up with a new bump or pimple everyday. The texture of my skin looks grainy.Below is everything I have tried.

Creams: differin gel and clindamycin gel, hyaluronic acid

Soap: benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, sulfur wash

Supplements/ pills: DIM, Zinc, Vitamin A, doxycycline, Buckthorn oil, Silica, Chromium, L-Lysine, Maca, hyaluronic acid, collagen, glutathione, birth control

What worked: differin gel 0.3% for 6 months

DIM for 2 months

Doxycycline for 4 months

Current routine: palmers skin success soap, calendula soap, and fresh aloe Vera gel

When I first started taking DIM I woke up everyday and never had a pimple. My skin was smooth and I stopped breaking out. Then for some reason it stopped working and I kept getting new pimples everyday. Either my face or body gets used to pills or creams and stops working. Sorry about the rant and long list of stuff I have tried. I just want a cure to this.

Over and over again we see the same food types being responsible for a wide range of acne problems.

These food types are:

1) Dairy
2) High Carb, High Glycemic Foods
3) Sugar
4) Alcohol
5) Gluten

Cut out these foods and you might have a manageable long term solution.

Here is my success story:

Minocycline is pretty much slightly stronger version than Doxycycline. It keeps acne at bay during usage, but not a long term solution.

Accutane should likely also help you if you decide to use it. Possibly long term.
