Have you actually been tested for your hormone levels?Have you been tested for an overpopulation of microscopic demodex skin mites?
"Androgenetic alopeciais an inherited hair-loss condition that affects both men and women. It has been suggested that a chemical produced by the (demodex) mites may trigger an inflammatory reaction that affects hair follicles. Although Demodex mites do not cause androgenetic alopecia, they may worsen the condition."
Everybody has at least a few of these mites - its normal. A healthy immune system keeps the mite population under control.
After literally decadesof being misdiagnosed with bacterial acne by 4 board certified dermatologists, the 4thonefinally toldme "Maybe it's hormonal and it will go away when you hit menopause".She didn't test for anything - none of them did. They just did a 10 second visual exam and started writing prescriptions for bacterial acne. Nothing they prescribed ever worked.
Body acne, scalp acne, large blackheads, folliculitis, papules, pustules, red eyes, Telangiectasia (broken veins), blepharitis (ocular rosacea), hair loss, itchy skin, etc. can also be caused by microscopic demodex skin mites. Current name for this condition is Rosacea Subtype II with papules and pustules. If your face doesn't happen to be red, the condition is frequently misdiagnosed as bacterial acne.
Rosacea Subtype IIfrequentlycoexists with Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO). The SIBO can be symptomatic or asymptomatic. SIBO screws up your immune system which either creates or suppresses chemicals that allow the demodex mites to get overpopulated. An endoscope test can determine the type of bacteria causing the SIBO. That allows your doctor to select the correct antibiotic to clear the type of bacteria causing the SIBO. Once the SIBO is cleared, itallows your immune system and skin to get back to normal.
I had this for decades, misdiagnosed as 3 separate unrelated issues - bacterial acne, allergic conjunctivitis and "it must be a bug or something you ate". Finally cured it in 2 weeks with the right, inexpensive, 2 drug prescriptiontreatment from the following 2013 Medical Study published in the May 2013 International Journal of Infectious Medicine. The combined 2 week, 2 drug oral treatment with Oral Ivermectin (2 once a week doses by body weight)+ Oral Metronidazole (3 times daily)cleared the demodex and the SIBO. With drug insurance copay the cost was just $13.03 or about $52 retail with no insurance. Link to that paper is here:

The researchers in the 2013 paper above had not made the connection to SIBO and were uncertain why the antibiotic/antiparasitic drug,Oral Metronidazole, worked by clearing the underlying SIBO condition in patients with demodex mite overpopulations. Doctors had been using Oral Metronidazole since at least 1985 to treat rosacea but they didn't understand why it worked. The inexpensive drug,Oral Metronidazole, is highly effective at clearing at least 2 of the bacteria known to cause SIBO. Oral Ivermectin helps by killing the adults mites quickly. The second weekly dose of Ivermectin kills any of the eggs that hatch after the first dose killed the adults.
In another more recent medical paper from 2016, the doctors confirmed the rosacea test subjects also had SIBO and treated them all with just the very expensive antibioticRifaximin. If worked for many patients in the study but not all. Rifaximin is excellent for treating E. Coli infections but does not work against other types of bacteria that can cause SIBO. hank you for your message! It makes me think a lot. I have exploded veins all over (nose, cheeks, shoulders, legs, chest!) yes yes. I would put pictures. Which doctor did you see to diagnose sibo?
I've seen hundreds of dermatologists and doctors, and no one has told me about demodex.
the last one told me I had androgenetic alopecia, with normal hormones (in the tests), but hypersensitivity to male hormones.
for 1 and a half years (onset of hair loss); my hair grows back but like pubic hair (I'm going to put pictures!). my hair was straight, light brown, it is replaced by black hair, curly and frizzy. did you have this?
can a nathuropath give the treatment you are telling me about? I am in France, (therefore a little poor English) and I do not see who to talk to a sibo without looking like an illuminated ...at left ; hair i lost. At right : new hair...

In the US a gastroenterologist (digestive tract) doctor would do the tests for SIBO.
I didn't have the same hair issues. I did have demodex in my hair which caused scalp acne and severe itching. The exploding veins sounds like rosacea. Rosacea can be a major symptom of SIBO. SIBO is treatable with the right antibiotic.
A healthy, balanced diet low in sugar is important. Probiotics and fermented foods can help to keep the bacteria in the digestive tract. Not sure if a naturopath could help.
I hope this helps.
