I have taken accutane for a month and had to stop it due to me getting so deppresed, this happened  back in january 2018.
My skin routine is simply wash my face with cetaphill gentle skin cleanser morning and night.
Dont know whats happening to my skin and how i can get rid of these spots and scars which are ruining my life and confidence!!
So if you have any suggestions for how i can fix my acne please tell me!!
I had light acne in the years 2015-2016 the end of 2016 and all the way up to summer 2017 i had perfect clear skin. But in the summer of 2017 i started to breakout and it caused scaring, then in september 2017 to june 2018 i only had scaring and some pimples which would pop every 2 months. Now in the summer im breaking out again what is happening??????

Hey man, accutane can definetily be rough. And if you were struggling with depression then I understand why you quit.
You can always begin again with some changes - proper diet, skincare routines, techniques etc will all boost and better your skin condition for sure.

get back on accutane or wait till you grow out of acne (might happen, maybe not). you already have some visible scarring and i would highly advise you to get back on accutane before it gets worse. acne isnt that big of a deal in the long run, but acne scars def are.

I used cetaphil with SOME success for a short period of time, but it only worked for a few months unfortunately. You don't necessarily have to go back on Accutane - that is not a long term solution and can have many side effects as I'm sure you know. Have you ever tried Proactiv or Unblemish?

First off, I suggest you switch from cetaphil gentle cleanser to their new gentle foaming cleanser. The cetaphil gentle cleanser has the potential of leaving pore-clogging reside behind that can lead to breakout. Second, I will suggest you start using a salicylic exfoliant to help unclog your pores and prevent future breakouts. Paula choice 2% or 1% bha are very good options. Third, find a basic moisturizer without plant oils and the ingredients on the Dan's highly comedogenic list. fourth, stay out off the sun or wear a minerial sunscreen. Finally, when you start seeing progress, think about including a sodium ascorbyl phosphate serum to your routine. If you have any question, do not hesitate to ask.
Good luck.

Definitely add a moisturizer to your routine. Apologies if you already do, but it's not mentioned in your description. This is something I think men forget about. If your skin becomes dry, it will begin to produce more oil, which can create more acne. So, it's good that you say you are washing your face twice a day, because more than that can dry out the skin. However, moisturizer will also help keep it from drying out.

I'm sorry that you are dealing with this. I've been on accutane multiple times and the depression side effect is no joke so I am glad you took it seriously and got off. As mentioned, you may want to look into your diet. A good place to start is cutting out dairy and then gluten. Increase as many vegetables as you can and healthier starches such as sweet potato, brown rice and quinoa. What other topicals have you tried? It may be work going back to your derm and trying a topical or two as you work on the diet piece. If you do not see improvements in 3-6 months, you can try accutane again, maybe at a lower dosage.
