Is there any reason to use BP 10%? I'm wondering because I thought I read of some people on here who stopped getting results with 2.5% and moved up to 10%?

Not everyones condition is same, same gos for skin.start of with medium strength 5%? Then if it works stay with it,if not move up to 10%.

As above, I would start with a lower percentage as its quite strong stuff so allow your skin to get used to it gradually.

Thanks for the replies -- I'm asking because I started on 10% BP and have been currently using it

Someone from another forum told me there's no point to use 10%, as all it does is increase side effects(drying/irritation), so I should switch to 2.5.

I guess what I'm wondering, is is it true that 2.5% is as effective as 10? Like, all I'm doing is increasing drying and possible skin problems by using 10?

(trying to see what the consensus is here on the forum or if anyone has really noticed that they NEED the higher BP concentration gels)

Im not sure what the science says in terms of BPs percentage and effectiveness rates. However, personally I found 10% to be too drying, despite working up to it over a number of years. When I returned to 2.5% my skin responded much better with less irritation and therefore less acne.
