I am a runner, I am currently on Epiduo forte gel and Minocycline. I only wash my face 2x a day and apply moisturizer and sunscreen during the day. My question is, I washed my face this morning, applied my moisturizer and then my sunblock. I took a washcloth with me to blot away the sweat. BUT....everything I read says you need to wash your face after you sweat. I have also read that you shouldn't wash your face more than 2x a day. I splashed my face with luke warm water to rinse it off but not sure that is what I should do. Any suggestions......any help?

Splash water onto your face, but don't rub it. Then dab dry lightly.

Give your face a good clean only twice a day.

Thank you, I appreciate the reply. I did that but then you read too much and freak out that only washing with water won't do anything.

it's a minefield of information..

personally I only wash my face morning and night, if I find it oily or sweaty looking in work I'll just dab it slightly with some blue roll to reduce the shine, but wait until I get home to give it a good wash before bed.

sometimes you can't avoid having to wash it more than twice, I.e. sports midday, I think this is Ok, as long as it's not excessive and isn't a ritual regular occurrence.

if you ain't too sweaty just dab it with a towel, if you feel it excessive then some water, Or just leave it completely until you get to your usual routine time.

I carried a clean wash cloth with me and dabbed the sweat as it rolled/dripped. As soon as i got home I rinsed with lukewarm water. With the treatment I am on, I don't want to screw anything up.
