As per title, I use alba deep pore wash with active 2% salicylic acid and I have been prescribed zineryt and oral antibiotics.

My face can dry out a lot but only at times. Is it likely the face wash and zineryt lotion are working against each other or is the dryness causing more acne?

If your face is drying out maybe try some face moisturiser, one which dosnt make your skin react.realy the best scenario should be just a moisturiser and oral anti biotics but if you git prescribed a topical anti biotic i would just take what the dr prescribed amd leave out the extra washs and see how your skin gets on.

Ultimately you want to take topical anti biotics out the picture once your skin is managed as they are full of chemicals and can effect your skin from long term use.

There should be no interaction between the two.

I've stopped use of wash, drying my face out with the meds.

As long as you don't wash your face more than twice a day, you should be fine. Also use a comedogenic moisturizer after washing your face. But make sure your face wash doesn't containsalicylic acid as it may interfere with zincAcetatewhen used at the same time.

Salicylic acid is mainly for blackheads and whiteheads it has minimal effect on red pimples.

thanks for that. I notice a difference now I've stopped the face wash, I knew something wasn't right between the 2 as I've used zinyert before and it felt a lot different.

my red pimples aren't as angry looking now, I'll deal with the white/black heads with the wash once the inflamed ones are gone.

thanks
