Hello everyone,

I've actually been a long time user of the site, but have not posted in years because my acne has been pretty well under control.  This is because I did about a month of accutane around the time I stopped posting (I kept a personal log post, but it's not super detailed).

However, my skin has been flaring up a little bit lately, and I'm sort of in the beginning stages of dating someone so it has been bothering me more than usual.  My question to you guys is a simple one, what is your favorite cleanser to use?  I'm sure there are thousands of similar posts already made, but I'm specifically interested in cleansers that seem to leave your skin slightly dry.  I feel like that is when my skin is the healthiest, and I am least likely to develop a new pimple.

OTC salicylic acid cleansers seem to leave my skin like this, but they are always full of microbeads and fragrances and other stuff that I do not want.  Also, there seems to be so much acid in most of them that my skin eventually gets overly dry if I use it everyday.  I would like a cleanser that leaves my skin at that perfect level of dryness, but doesn't make it so dry that I feel like I have to use a moisturizer.

I think my favorite cleanser I have ever used is actually the acne.org cleanser, and so unless someone can point me in a different direction I think I am going to order more of that.  A distant second is the Neutrogena Fresh Foaming cleanser.  I definitely want something that I can work up into a lather in my hands.

Any of you guys have any hot tips for me?  I'd really appreciate some advice :D

Avoid any kind of scrubs, they spread acne worse
if you use cleanser with acid it's super important to finish with simple moisturizer on top
try adding one drop of lavender essential oil to a simple cleanser or tea tree oil
do every other day with either one of them or switch in between

Quinoderm face wash?

It gives me that slightly dryish/tight feel that you mention. It contain a BP/SA mix which I've been using.
