Will My Acne EVER Go Away?

I'm 24 years old, and I've had acne (moderately severe) consistently since I was 14. The only thing that has changed is that my forehead doesn't break out anymore, but the lower part of my face is just as bad as ever, and my body still breaks out. Like many people here, I've tried innumerable prescription and non-prescription medications, and the only thing that has consistently worked is the acne.org regimen.

But I'm tired of it. I'm so tired of slathering my face in chemicals every single morning and every single night, knowing that skipping one dose is enough to potentially cause a breakout. I'm so tired of having flakey dry skin. And despite my consistent use of treatments, I still have a handful of small scars that I'll probably have to live with forever.

I have tried so hard to get Accutane, to no avail. My primary doctor wanted to give it to me but he wasn't signed up for the absurd I-Pledge program, and two dermatologists have stubbornly rejected my pleas yet offered me a plethora of antibiotics (as if long-term antibiotic use doesn't have serious side-effects!).

So I feel like I have no options left except using the acne.org regimen whilst hoping that someday I'll outgrow this disease on my own. What I would like to ask this community is the following: have any of you outgrown acne after my age? If I still have acne in my mid-twenties, does that mean it will never go away?

I know more natural methods have worked for others (not for me, sadly) such as the oil cleansing method, just water, coldcream cleansing, diet, ect. None of these things have worked for me, but for some, it has permanently cleared them. It's worth a shot!

How about a diet overhaul?

cut out all the stuff that aggravates acne or your hormones, drink water a few times daily.

only use spot cream on breakouts, when its clear dont use it.

wash with warm water only,no chemicals, pat face dry with clean towel every time.

sleep with clean pillow case every few days.

dont touch your face and wash your gands when going to toilet and st other times of day so you keep your hands clean.

important!try not to masterbate too often.

stay stress free, you dont have to run a marathon but try and get out in fresh air, walk in park.

it takes a while to get use to new regime but you already have one, just change it.important thing is to keep eye on your face to check progress and keep eye on whst you eat, this way you can alter your diet to cater for your skin and health,so if you suspect chicken makes you break out, ditch it.
:D
