Doesn't make sense why I'm breaking out.

Hey, I'm new to this site but I'm wondering if anyone could tell me why I'm breaking out. oh btw I'm 21yrs old

My lifestyle before consisted of a lot of smoking, drinking, and partying (raves) but I've stopped all of that for about two months now. During that time my skin was decent, I did get breakouts here and there for reasons I'm sure I knew why and sometimes my skin would be perfect or near perfect.

As soon as I stopped all of that and did a 180, I'm talking about getting 6-8hrs of sleep daily, working out 2hrs 4-6days a week, I literally calculate my macronutrients daily, I eat plenty of fruits and Vegetables every single day l, i wash my face 2-3 times a day, stopped drinking, smoking, and partying. I've been having pimples or what they call "blind pimples" come out every other day usually where my jawline is or my front cheek or forehead. It just all doesn't make any sense to me, If someone knows why or has an idea why please let me know.

Much appreciated and thank you.

Well, three times a day is too many times a day to wash your face. You may also just need to adjust your routine...as you get older, your skin's needs change. Also, which products you are using is a huge part of it. Check out cosdna.com to see how the products you are using and the ingredients size up...it's a start.
Working out that much can cause a shift in your hormones...Many times when I have really dug into my workout schedule, my acne has increased temporarily...don't drink any weird protein shakes or anything like that. Many are known to cause acne.

Im currently only using Cetaphil to wash morning and night and when I come back from work I just wash with lukewarm water. I drink six star isolate whey protien, I've drank plenty types/brands of protien in the past but it had little to no effect on my skin. I'm debating if I should open another thread with a better description including pictures?

STOP WHEY PROTEIN! Ive always had clear skin even though when i started working out. I am 17 and last winter i decided to start with protein shake.. 1month later i started to break out badly with acne.. then i stopped til this summer cuz my skin was pretty much clear.. then i started again and boom.. now i wont use it before im 22 or smth.. and take a shower right after gym + when you wash your face, wash it with cold water.

could it be because of your hormones and testosterone? I'm 20 now but when I was 17 I would have pretty bad breakouts without protein shakes

Whey protein is KNOWN to cause acne. Even in small amounts as an additive in other foods.

Eat clean food with high protien instead.. tuna, chicken breast, beans, salmon etc.. it is much safer for your skin.

I really haven't tried that, I wash my face in warm. I just choose a temperature that feels soothing and comfortable which seems to be somewhere around body temp.

In my opinion cold water is best if you have acne. Warm water can irritate your skin and spread the bacteria. Mild water is allright if you cant handle cold. But cold water closes your pores so if you want to open your pores to apply cream/mask or something, wash it with mild (medium) water and wash it off later with cold water to close the pores again. Dont wash your face more than twice a day, thats enough.
