Alright so I've been on doxycycline for about two weeks (supposed to be 3 months). I take 100 mg two times daily. On top of that I use a topical with tretinoin and clindamycin in the morning and use bp 5% before bedtime. I don't use BP in the morning because it makes my skin red in school, plus its winter so the sun isnt really messing with the tretinoin during the day anyways. Before applying the topicals I also cleanse with cetaphil and moisturize afterwards.
Still I feel like even though I'm doing everything textbook, nothing is really helping, and its only gotten worse. I should mention I'm an 18 yo guy so its definitely hormonal. I have also been trying to avoid dairy.
I'm not sure if it is moderate anymore or if it is cystic??? What am I going to do and am I doing anything wrong??? Is accutane the only option? It is seriously messing with my confidence at this point I feel stupid talking to girls...
Could really se some helpful advice. Here is a picture of where its worst:
I see no cysts, so nope. This is mild/servere if I am not wrong. It is nothing dangerous just NEVER touch them. Remember to be gentle as possible to your skin. Do you eat oily food, chocolate, chips and stuff? Cut that out for a while. Start using natural supplements for a week and see if there is a difference. My recommendation: Cut a tomato into 2 pieces. Take one of the half and gently rub it on your face for around 2-3 minutes (the water of tomato is supposed to get in touch with your skin). Then wait a good 10-15minutes and just relax. After 15minutes ish take an aloe vera stick (from the plant) and open it. When you have opened it gently scrub the gel on your face just as you did with the tomato for 1-3 minutes (whenever the gel sits on your face, you are done). Then go to sleep and wash it off of your face. Do this for a week. If you see no improvements try to put vaseline on the spots before bedtime and sleep with it. You should be able to see improvements in a week with either of these two methods. I wish you the best of luck and you better try these methods

Thanks for the reply! Though I have got to admit I am a bit sceptical about the whole tomato thing haha. And by natural supplements do you mean veggies? Because I already take multi vit, zinc and fish oil.
