TO THOSE WHO SUFFER:

I started getting pretty bad, scarring acne 3 years ago. I am now on accutane.

I have been made fun of, laughed at, and taken EVERY criticism possible.
It sucks.

Many of my friends have very little, or no acne. I feel like the only one.

WELL YOU KNOW WHAT? YOU ARE NOT.

TO ALL THOSE WHO MAKE FUN OF YOU:
They don't know.
They don't now the pain you go through.
The hours in front of the mirror.
The pictures we won't take.
The people we won't look in the eye.
They don't know.
The questions we won't ask.
The products we want but don't get.
The people we like, but won't talk to.
They don't know.
The hours looking for a cure, a way out.
The time putting on makeup.
The products, countless products we try.
The shame we feel, but don't fix.
THEY DONT KNOW.

My friends, they'll never know.
But we know.

I always recognize when I see people like me. I feel for them. I hope in the future, and while your struggling, you will too.
