I had bad acne on my face back and chest for 7 years that led to minor scarring on my cheeks. I was using benzoyl peroxide to keep it under control. I just bought some diaper rash cream that has 40 percent zinc oxide in it and applied it all over my face neck and back. Within a half hour all the pimples were less inflamed. I left it on for 4 more hours and then took a shower all my acne on my was reduced by about 50 percent. I did this 2 more days in a row now im clear all over even on my back. I also have been taking zinc gluconate 200mg a day. And now my skin is healing and going vack to normal texture some minor scars fading. Zinc is miracle cure for me after 7 years with this. I feel so good without acne on me. My skin really is so much better.

I let it sit for 3 to 4 hours then wash most of it off with water but some stays.

I did a lot of research into taking Zinc as a supplement as I'd heard about it's benefits. What I took from perhaps an hour of online research is that 100mg a day is the maximum recommended intake when supplementing (taking consideration that zinc can already be present in the diet), and that it should be supplemented with copper as this can be reduced by taking high levels of Zinc. Just something to be aware of. Please correct me if you have read something different/done more research than I have!

I thought zinc oxide was only a topical treatment? Present in sudocrem etc.? I also take zinc gluconate, but take a 100mg tablet every 2 days as I eat quite a lot of zinc heavy foods (red meat, nuts, seafood etc.). I have been drinking matcha green tea which I think has been helping my skin.. it is definitely a bit brighter and smoother lately, but not sure whether to attribute this to the green tea, zinc, diet change (reduction in dairy/meat/processed foods) or the Regimen!! But the combination of these does seem to be helping slightly.. we'll see!!

:( gonna start eating baking soda and see how it goes cause 100$ worth of vitamin daily + joker's mask (Zinc Oxide) isn't helping my acne.

Yuk- please no!! Have you tried any diet changes? Are you on the Regimen? I'm yet to find a solution too, but trying not to let it take over my life, despite how difficult that is.
