Hi, i am 20 years old right now. I Don't remember when the acne breakout started but i only thought of it seriously today.
Acne from the face is still here but its just tiny little nothings almost not noticeable.
Ex:
Me from 2012
Me from February 2016 (I am Much Thinner now, we will get to that).
As you can see, Acne breakouts on my face are gone, just some blackheads on my nose and tiny red bumps here and there.
Without doing anything
But on:
Front Neck, Back, Chest, Upper Arms is a different story.
Since April 2016 i have been exercising a lot to the point i got from a kinder egg to a kit kat.
I cut on sodas completely as well on cheese and butter.
Cheese and butter are so good right? But i noticed when i ate them like 2 days in a row on a normal quantity ofc, i started to breakout on front neck 2 or 3 medium sized pimples. Is there any relation?
This is what my back looks like. They are not THAT red and big but there are a lot of them
This is the same for my upper arms and chest/abs.
On chest and abs there are only scars now (brown ones) and some pimples which are not big enough to worry about.
I started to exfoliate yesterday, will that help me somehow?
Will it go away with time? (I am 20 already).
I'm noticing its not as bad as before (18s) but i don't want to jinx it.
My back took twice as long (atleast) to clear up than my face. So about 3 months or so. Your back doesn't look to bad. Border line self conscious IMO if you were to go swimming or something. Apply BP twice a day if you can. Foods have been blamed for acne but to be honest, it doesn't affect me and there have been no solid results showing that being the case. Stress can flare up acne though.
Hi, i got recently a good exfoliate i will use it until the end of the summer, and if i see results i will stay with it but if there are no changes i will try the BP, Which % you recommend?
The reason i wont start with BP right now, its because im always out in the sun in summer.
I talked to my father he said to got a dermatologist that he will prescript pills to CLEAN THE BLOOD.
he said he had but not "severe" as me and it worked for him.
Can you explain me this?

I'd recommend using 2.5% BP, because it dries out the skin less and studies show that it's just as effective as 5 and 10% concentrations.
I don't know too much about precriptions for acne, but I don't think acne medication cleanses the blood. (I may be wrong, but I have just never heard or recalled every reading anything about such a medication). You may be thinking about Accutane, which lessens oil production that causes acne. If you do want to go on Accutane, there can be many side effects, so make sure you consult your doctor.

Thx, does that really work, or it just depends?
When should i expect results after i start using it?
A lot of people see success in Accutane, but it may be just for the face. I don't want to guide you on the wrong path, especially since I don't know too much about the specific subject myself. I do know that it does take a little while to see the effects of Accutane, you have to let your current acne "run its course", and oftentimes your acne will appear to get worse before it gets better when on Accutane.
I would also suggest you post or look through this forum, which is specifically for people who have chest and back acne: http://www.acne.org/messageboard/forum/33-backbodyneck-acne/
If you would like to do further research on Accutane, there are plenty of articles out there, just seach "Accutane" or "isotretinoin". (Isotretinoin is the prescription name of Accutane)
Hope this helps!
Hey there!
I'm an Esthetician and deal with this a lot with clients and have had this myself before too. So what it looks and sounds like you have is Keratosis Pilaris (KP) and a mix of clogged pores from working out. It is completely harmless so don't worry and your acne isn't severe and can be corrected. Working out, heat, sweating a lot can cause the follicles to build up with sweat, dirt, and other debris especially if you are wearing a tighter fighting shirt working out and don't shower right away. I see a lot of teenage boys who play sports (commonly football) come in with this on their back and ask me what to do. First we start small which will be every time after you excercise shower immeditaley use a good acne cleanser (something with salicylic works great) as well in the shower hit all your target areas and scrub with aloofah or whatever you may have to exfoliate. Also wear loose clothing when you work out- anything tight can cause the pores to oxidate and clog from not enough exposure to breathe. If this doesn't completely clear it we then look at laundry detergents and dryer sheets (Free and clear is the best and don't use dryer sheets because there are a lot of comedogenic substances in them). Finally if that doesn't work I set up a regimen and treatment plan with them to see me every 2-4 weeks to clear up the situation. Dairy isn't good for skin, but wouldn't cause this drastic of an effect all over the body. I hope that gives you some ideas!

I was referring to BP ^^
I read about Accutane and it has too many risks involved.

Well, i started working out 5 months ago only, but i have this since 3 years ago.
But thx a lot, i will start using a body cleanser when i shower.
Hopefully i will be able to post some results in few months!
Use Dan's 5% BP.Its the perfect combo as there are negatives with using both to much, or to less. It WILL bleach your clothing so I would suggest wearing it religiously at night but not so much during the day if you like to keep your shirts in good shape lol.Derms can prescribe pills for acne and it kills the bacteriathat causes acne from the inside out (from what I understand) and it works for some, and others it doesn't (like me). Do what works for you. If the exfoliation works, then that's great. If not, then try something else. Ive had luck with BP and am cleared99%.

You said you used twice a day, since it drys the skin wouldnt that be too much?
Yesterday i tried this guy:
I noticed it left my skin dry, especially my hands. What does this one do?
This is the one i am using for exfoliation:
And this is my plan.
thx a lot everyone

Look on the back and see if it lists any active ingredients. BP works very well for most people, but like previously mentioned, make sure it doesn't dry you out too much! You can go online to buy BP, or you could buy it on the acne.org store. (It might seem expensive, but it lasts forever compared to other BP products)
Hi, I got results and i didn't, so:
- 80% Sure i got Keratosis Pilaris as Skrilexxi mentioned.
My arms are kinda clear, no more big pimples just the chicken skin.
But my back is weird.
I feel that it got better, its smoother now but the pictures show the opposite.
Day1 Day5 Day12 Day19
My shoulders feel oily and big red breakouts happen there, the rest of the back is the "chicken skin".
Also last week when i exfoliated the next day i got a breakout on my face and neck , a small one nothing to worry about, but it was only on the right side. Should i give it a go for another month?
