Is my acne hormonal?

I read somewhere that acne on the jawline is hormonal. Is it true? It gets sore and very itchy. Also, see a few hairs I have to pluck, could that be related?
Is there anything I can do to treat this that isn't super expensive?
I am 30 years old and tired of having this acne.
Thanks in advance for feedback.

It could be hormonal. You will never know for sure unless you get lab work done with your doctor.

For me when it is that time of the month I do get cystic acne on my jawline/chin. I would get one or two a week before my period starts. I am on the Acne.org regimen which definitely cleared my severe acne but I wouldn't recommend it seems it seems you only have a couple of spots.

Perhaps spot treatment is the way to go.

Honestly I don't think it matters that much. Just use cold water, water in the Philippines isn't very cold anyway, so the bare tap water will do fine. Also, post in English next time so others can understand and help you as well :)

Hi, most acne is partly hormonal yes having chin hairs or jawline hairs can be indicative of PCOS or higher androgens.
