I used to have bad bacne about 6 years ago and it's sort of subsided. I only get the occasional spots and I have scarring(because I used to pick at them)
Ive only recently come across this problem on my arm(weird white spots that looks like chicken skin) and my doctor has given me 'Bactroban' which apparently treats Rosacea and acne(mild I think). I haven't really seen a difference
I'm currently abroad and I've noticed that it's getting worse, I'm guessing because of the hot weather? I've seen a doctor here and she said that I can't treat it and it will eventually disappear when I turn 30 or something. i will never give up!
Looks like keratosis pilaris to me. My daughter started getting this about 6 months ago. The derm prescribed retin-a and it seems to slowly be working. My aunt had this as well and going gluten free completely cleared up hers.
That's definately keratosis pilaris. I was advised to use a moisturiser with an AHA to get rid of it and keep it at bay.
I usePalmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Anti-Ageing Smoothing Lotion. Alternatives areAmeliorate orPriori Advanced AHA Hand & Body Revitalizing Lotion.
I use it on the affected areas and a regular moisturiser everywhere else.
