Hello, im a 17yr old male with acne prone skin, and oily skin. I dont have too much acne (its mostly on my forehead) but my skin is quite oily. I bought Dove Men+ Oil Control soap for my oily skin and was wondering if it was safe to use on my acne prone skin or will it cause breakouts?
Ty
Never use anything that isn't derm recommended on acne-prone skin. Always look for gentle cleansers that are non-comedogenic or they may cause breakouts. If oil is your big concern, consider adding some zinc to your diet. Zinc can help with oil control. 30-50 mgs are safe amounts.

What soap do you recommend i use for my oily&acne prone skin that can be bought in stores? I have no clue what to use. Ive been using unscented goat milk soap for about a year now but it hasnt helped my skin.

Try Purpose brand gentle cleanser. It's 100% non-comedogenic, derm recommended, and gentle as using water. It's also available in most drugstores, and places like Walmart, etc. It probably won't do anything for your oil, but will keep your skin clean and won't aggravate acne-prone skin.
Consider using a light moisturizer after washing, sometimes excess oil is a sign your skin may actually be dry. Giving your skin some hydration may help calm the oil. I always thought for years my biggest problem was oil but turned out it was dry skin (underneath the oil!). Now things are much better and I'm way less oily since I started moisturizing.
But yeah, I'd consider adding zinc and also some omega 3 fish oil to your diet, and make sure you're getting enough calcium. These can not only help calm inflammation but can help balance out hormonal responses which can cause oil glands to go a little nutty in some teens.
