I am a male teenager in high school and have suffered from acne since 8th grade, very mildly though, nothing too serious. Recently, I have noticed that my acne has gotten slightly worse and I feel like I am between mild and moderate in acne severity. After finding the acne.org regimen and seeing all the success stories I am considering giving it a try because my acne has gotten to a point where I am not comfortable in my own skin. However, I am also concerned that using this regimen might be too drastic for my situation, since I consider this treatment is more adequate for severe cases of acne. In conclusion, I am frightened to try the acne.org regimen because I feel it might be too much for my mild acne and I fear it might only worsen it, like I have read in some cases where it turns into cystic acne. Advice? Should I start the regimen or should I first try more mainstream products like proactiv and neutrogena? I could post pictures of my acne if it helps.
If you take a look at the active ingredient to all three regimens (acne.org, proactiv, and neutrogena) they have the same acne fighting ingredient which is benzoyl peroxide.
If you are considering the acne.org regimen then maybe first read about what the process entails. It isn't an easy regimen to adjust to but if you really are determined then it is a great regimen to be on. It cleared me up and kept me clear. If you aren't convinced then you can always use drug store bought products in place of acne.org products.
